Our Story

A Contractor, a Teacher, and a Call They Couldn't Ignore

David built things for a living. Carol taught third grade for fifteen years. Neither expected to end up planting churches in Nairobi. But after a short-term trip to Kenya in 2014, they came home changed. In 2018, sent by Cornerstone Bible Church and partnering with Crossroads Global Mission, they landed in Kenya.

David & Carol Hendricks have served in Nairobi, Kenya since 2018,  planting churches, discipling leaders, and walking alongside communities in Mathare and Kibera, two of the largest informal settlements in Africa.

    Carol's weekly discipleship program in Mathare serves over sixty women, focusing on Scripture, family health, and financial stewardship.

Our Ministry

What We Do

We plant churches, disciple leaders, and serve communities in Nairobi and the Rift Valley.

  • Church Planting

    We identify persons of peace, gather believers in homes, and build local congregations led by Kenyan pastors. Five churches planted so far, with a sixth underway in Longisa.

  • Discipleship and Training

    Carol leads a weekly women's program in Mathare with over sixty women. David runs a men's leadership gathering focused on biblical grounding and practical trade skills.

  • Community Outreach

    Every Saturday we serve children in two communities through a feeding program. We also hold open air evangelism and an annual health and prayer outreach drawing several hundred people.
